Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. When and where is the test scheduled?

The selection test is closed for 2010 It will be conducted at BASE, No. 27, Bull Temple road, Basavanagudi, Bangalore – 560 004.

2. What is the format of the test?

The test, of 3 hours duration, will have multiple-choice-questions in three subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

3. What curriculum is the test based on: ICSE, CBSE or SSLC?

The test is not based on the curriculum of any Board. However, the questions are framed at the expected level of understanding and skills of a student who has completed 10th Std. of any stream.

4. What is the objective of the test?

The test is aimed at evaluating the abilities of observation, comprehension, analysis and problem-solving.

5. This test is held about a week after the class X examination. Is this enough for preparation?

There is no specific preparation necessary for the test. The test evaluates the level of understanding and application of concepts.

6. What should I bring to the test?

Bring your admission slip and at least 2 sharpened HB pencils and an eraser. The answers will have to be marked in an OMR sheet using HB pencils only. Space for rough work will be available in the question paper. Use of calculator/Clark’s tables is not permitted. Mobile phones and other electronic gadgets are not allowed inside the test centre.

7. When will I know the results of the test, and how?

Results announced on 5 PM on Wednesday, 14 April 2010.
You can know the results through any of the following means:

From the notice board at our office.
We will mail the results to the email address, if provided, on the day of results.

8. Where are the classes conducted?

Classes are conducted at our Basavanagudi centre.
The classes shall be held for 3 days a week between 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM. The detailed time table shall be given at the time of enrolment.

9. When will the training program commence?

The program is scheduled to commence on Week starting 26th April 2010.

You could also fill in the registration form by downloading the same from our website www.base-education.co.in on a legal size paper and mail it to our Basavanagudi centre along with the requisite DD / cheque payable at Bangalore.

11. What is the registration fee for Selection Test?

The fee is Rs.300/- inclusive of service tax.
