1. What is distance learning?

In Distance education, a student formally enrolls in an institution but receives instruction at a location away from it. The advantages are:-
- It reduces travel time.
- Students need not move to bigger cities looking for accommodation and other facilities.
- Learning can be at one’s own pace and convenience, keeping the exam schedule in mind.
- It is less expensive

2. Do students in Distance Learning Programs perform as well as other students?

Extensive research has shown that students in distance education can perform as well or better in examinations when compared to classroom students. . Nevertheless, students must maintain persistence and a clear focus to succeed in a distance learning situation. Self-direction, a passion for learning, and strong individual responsibility are important influences on achievement.

3. What are the advantages of the BASE Distance Learning Programs?

a. The printed courseware of BASE is designed to provide the student comprehensive content for learning.
b. Optimal set of graded exercises exposes students to the necessary variety of questions and facilitate adequate practice.
c. Unit-wise, section-wise and full-length tests are included to help the students evaluate their strengths and areas of improvement.

4. Is internet connection a must for any DLP program?

Having a broadband connection at the residence will be an advantage, as the student could access our website resources. Alternately, the student could use the services of cyber cafes. The student mainly prepares using the printed courseware supplied. This online service is only a useful add-on feature.

6. How is the printed courseware delivered?

The printed courseware is sent module-wise, as per a set schedule, through courier to the address provided to us at the time of admission.

9. What is the procedure for admission?

Please collect / download, fill and submit the application form (with the required crossed cheque/DD) in person or by mail to our office at #27, Bull Temple road, Basavanagudi, Bangalore 560004.

10. How is the fee payable?

  • The fee is to be paid in full through local crossed cheque / DD only, drawn in favour of BASE Educational Services Pvt. Ltd., payable at Bangalore.
  • Students outside Karnataka in India need to pay Rs. 500/- extra for mailing charges
  • For Students enrolling from outside India mailing charges shall be charged at actuals.
  • Withdrawal from the Distance Learning program is not permitted. Accordingly, no refund of fees is permissible.
