About NTSE

NTSE (National Talent Search Examination) is conducted for students studying in Class VIII by NCERT to identify potential achievers. NTSE scholars win recognition as the most promising students of their age-group. Students who are awarded these scholarships receive financial assistance up to the Ph.D. level for studies in social sciences, basic sciences and commerce. Those pursuing professional courses such as engineering, medicine, management and law are eligible to receive financial assistance up to the master's degree level.

The examination is conducted at 2 levels: State and National. It consists of Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and Mental Abilities Test (MAT). SAT covers Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, History, Civics and Geography. Shortlisted students will undergo final interview to become awardees.
